Capcom Considers Extending Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Following PlayStation Network Outage

The recent outage of the PlayStation Network has had a significant impact on many gamers eager to take part in the Monster Hunter Wilds event beta. With the network down for more than 24 hours, PlayStation 5 users faced challenges accessing the limited-time event, which is scheduled to conclude at 03:59 AM on Monday, February 10 (Central European Time, which is one hour behind in the UK).

In response to these unforeseen events, Capcom has announced the possibility of extending the open beta for an extra 24 hours. However, this potential extension would not apply to the current weekend's beta but would instead occur during a future date. Capcom has indicated that specifics regarding the timing and details are still to be determined, urging players to stay updated.

Fortunately, there is an additional session already planned for next weekend, running from February 14-17. There is a chance Capcom might opt to include an additional day to this session as well, which gamers are hopeful for. Many fans have expressed their dissatisfaction regarding Sony's response and compensation following the significant outage. It's noteworthy that participating in the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta does not require a PS Plus subscription, nor is an Xbox Game Pass Core necessary for online play.
