The Trailer For The Last Of Us: Part II Remastered Showcases The 'No Return' Mode

Naughty Dog emphasized the inclusion of a new No Return mode as a key feature during the announcement of The Last of Us: Part II Remastered. While only brief snapshots were provided in the initial reveal trailer, PlayStation Studios has now turned their attention to highlighting this rogue-like mode in a dedicated trailer to coincide with the commencement of pre-orders.

The trailer offers insights into gameplay where players can step into the shoes of characters such as Ellie, Abby, Dina, Jesse, Lev, and Tommy, among others. Each character must navigate through various zones teeming with standard infected creatures, formidable bloaters, and even daunting rankings. Along the way, players scavenge for weapons and resources which are essential for survival. The preview also showcases some gameplay modifiers that escalate challenges further—enemies that are rendered invisible and molotov cocktails that ignite expansive areas being notable examples.

The No Return mode is set to be an integral part of The Last of Us: Part II Remastered upon its release for PS5 on January 19th.
